How to use it

  1. Paste CSV (or cells copied from a spreadsheet) or drop a file.
  2. Choose alignment and padding.
  3. Copy the Markdown.

Private by design

The conversion runs as JavaScript in this tab. Your data is not uploaded, logged or stored. There is no account and no file-size paywall.

Markdown table syntax in brief

A header row, a separator row of dashes, then one line per row, with cells separated by pipes. A colon in the separator sets alignment: :--- left, :---: centre, ---: right. Pipes inside cells are escaped as \| so they do not start a new column, and line breaks become <br>.

Questions

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read by JavaScript in this tab and never leaves your device. You can load the page, switch off Wi-Fi and it keeps working.

Does it work in GitHub, GitLab and Notion?

Yes. The output uses the GitHub-flavoured Markdown table syntax that all three support.
