Short version: your files never leave your browser, and we don’t know who you are.
Your data
Every DataKit tool reads, converts and writes files using JavaScript running in your own browser tab. File contents are not uploaded to a server, not logged and not stored. Closing the tab discards everything.
The optional AI fix
The CSV validator and JSON validator offer a “Suggest a fix with AI” button. Only when you click it, the text in the input box (up to 8,000 characters) and the validator’s findings are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to an AI model (OpenAI) to generate a corrected version. The request is not stored by DataKit. Don’t use it for confidential data; fix those files by hand using the line-by-line report.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless and does not collect personal data or track you across sites. It never sees your files.
Storage on your device
DataKit does not set cookies and does not save anything in your browser’s local storage. There is nothing to clear, but the button below removes any site data left by earlier versions of this site.
Hosting
The site is served by Vercel, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
