XML to CSV converter
Paste an XML feed or export and get a CSV with one row per repeating element. Child elements and attributes become columns automatically.
Loading the tool…How to use it
- Paste XML or drop an .xml file.
- Leave “Row element” blank to auto-detect the repeating element, or name it (e.g. product).
- Copy or download the CSV.
Private by design
The conversion runs as JavaScript in this tab. Your data is not uploaded, logged or stored. There is no account and no file-size paywall.
How columns are named
A child element becomes a column named after it (customer). Nested children use dot paths (address.city). Attributes use @: <order id="1001"> gives a column @id, and <total currency="GBP"> gives total@currency. Repeated children are numbered (item.0, item.1).
Questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read by JavaScript in this tab and never leaves your device. You can load the page, switch off Wi-Fi and it keeps working.
Does it support namespaces?
Yes; element names keep their prefix, such as g:price in Google Merchant feeds.
My file is very large. Will it work?
XML is parsed in memory with the browser’s own parser; files up to tens of megabytes are fine.
